Dreaming of Snow

Dreaming of Snow | Lyss Barn

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

It’s January… I think it’s time for some snow. Lots of it. A foot at least. Maybe two. Mother Nature went easy on the snow last year so I think it’s about time she delivers.

I mean, it’s not winter without a heavy dosing of snow. Plus, I don’t know about you, but the world looks so magical when it’s blanketed in white. Everything glistens, the world gets quiet, and nighttime isn’t so dark. I think Lorelai Gilmore said it best.

Do you like the snow or would you rather it be spring already?

  1. I’m dreaming of Memorial Day :) I hate the cold, hate the snow and I’d love to just skip to April!

  2. I’m surprised that we haven’t had more snow than this yet! Crazy!

    • I know! Especially after how mild last year was, I’m surprised snow’s been minimal this winter. But then again it’s only January… a lot can still happen!

  3. I *love* summer but I want some snow. A lot of it. Blizzard style please! It just blankets everything and makes the world a little quieter. I love that.

  4. I SO wish it would snow here. It snowed north and east of us last night but not here :/ It didn’t last though. But it still would be nice to see snowfall at least once this year.

  5. Oh no! I hope the universe didn’t hear you, keep that cold, fluffy, white-stuff away! Spring sounds wonderful about now!

  7. I only like snow when it first falls and it’s perfectly white and fresh. It’s really pretty to look at. But then I’m over it. I’m ready for it to be spring!

  8. This is my first winter in a place that actually gets snow, and I’m ready for a blizzard. I totally lucked out with a white Christmas this year (I spent it in East Texas, so it was a once in a lifetime kind of thing), but it was maybe an inch — enough to make everything pretty, but not enough to satisfy. Gimme a foot or two! I have prime sledding real estate across from my apartment building, and I’ve never been!
